Ilene Robbins, LPC
My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, reflect, and gain clarity about what’s working and what’s no longer serving you.
~Ilene
Adolescent, Adult & Couples Therapist
Ilene Robbins is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience helping individuals, couples, and families move from disconnection and overwhelm to clarity, confidence, and meaningful connection. She brings a thoughtful blend of clinical expertise and real-world perspective, informed by her background as a parent, partner, and former corporate professional.
In her work with individuals, Ilene is particularly skilled at supporting teens and adults to navigate the pressures of high achievement, perfectionism, and emotional overwhelm. She helps her clients to reconcile feeling accomplished and successful externally yet feeling stressed, stuck and disconnected internally. She understands the pressures of leadership, decision-making, and performance, and helps clients navigate balancing life’s competing demands – family, work, relationships and personal fulfillment.
In her work with couples, Ilene uses Gottman-informed and emotion-focused approaches to help partners interrupt unproductive patterns, communicate more effectively, and rebuild emotional intimacy. With families, she supports stronger connection and mutual understanding while honoring the complexities of modern family systems. Her clinical work integrates evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and relational approaches, always tailored to the individual or couple.
Clients describe Ilene’s style as warm, perceptive, and direct. She offers a calm, thoughtful space where insight leads to meaningful change, helping clients reconnect with their values and create sustainable growth in both their personal and professional lives.
